Jul 31 John Heyman, of SI.com, reports the Arizona Diamondbacks are in the bidding to acquire Washington Nationals CL Chad Cordero before the trade deadline. The Diamondbacks have a number of prospects they could trade for Cordero, but OF Carlos Quentin is the name that has been mentioned the most often in the trade discussions.

If it happens, this will be a blow to my RP situation. I have both Cordero and Valverde as my closers.

a big chunk of contenders will try to stop that if it was attempted now

Well, it's 10:00 Eastern, and he just earned a save for the Nationals. I guess he's not going anywhere.
