I'd say Benoit is the safest bet until Otsuka comes back

FYI - CJ Wilson got the save tonight while fanning 2. I just grabbed him off the wire. I was seriously contemplating picking up Beniot about a week before the deadline for insurance because I own Gagne ...but I didn't have the room for him since I was also stashing Soria and Rauch expecting them to be more likely to be affected by the deadline and not expecting Gagne to lose his closer status even if he was traded ...so much for that.

So needless to say I'm hoping CJ Wilson keeps the job and Otsuka's arm needs more time to get back to form because I have lost 3 closers due to injuries and trades within the span of 2 weeks and it blowwwws heh.

This looks like a "true" CBC until Otsuka comes back. I'm not sure he's due back much before the end of August. In any event, if you need saves and have a free slot, it might just be pick-em between Beniot and Wilson.

Here is more info to shed some light on the TX closer situation quoted directly from todays Yahoo game notes ...I smell a Wilson/Benoit battle for the chair.

"RHPs Frank Francisco and Joaquin Benoit along with LHP C.J. Wilson will share the closer's role vacated by the trade of RHP Eric Gagne to Boston. "I expect someone to step up and earn (the spot)," Washington said."

Everyone I read it says Benoit will be the closer...but I found it interesting that Benoit came in to start the 8th in a tied game instead of Wilson.
