He’s definitely a top 10 that gets no respect.

The real question is: how much of a priority should closers have on draft day. I would not sacrifice a quality position player or starter for a quality closer (a stupendous closer like Smoltz or Gagne, yes – but they are not around at that stage of the draft).

I don't think he gets the love because he's not a typical "blow 'em away with high heat" closer. He's a lefty who doesn't have overpowering stuff, but surprisingly has been at about a K per inning the past 2 seasons as the Twins' closer. He has a great WHIP and his ERA won't hurt you. I wouldn't worry about Shiggy stealing the job from him either.
