There is no chance that Betemit is the starting 3B for the Yankee next season.
I agree, but only because I believe wholeheartedly that Arod is going to remain a Yankee.
If Arod does leave the Yankees, what options are there for 3b? Looks like it's only Mike Lowell, and I can't see the Yankees offering him a deal.

Phillips is much better against RHP and he's been real good defensively...so I don't know how much playing time Betemit will get at that position...especially since he's never played 1B.

I don't know but something will happen if A-Rod leaves. There's no way that A-Rod gets replaced by Betemit.

While yes his batting average is better this year vs right handers, his power numbers are much lower.
9 hr vs 2 hr. With that short porch in right, and almost all of Betemits HR's coming from that side, I say he see's a good number of at-bats over the next month.

I think this changes Betemit's value from almost nothing to virtually nothing.

My thoughts exactly...
90% of my posts are from complaining about my team

We'll see. I say this makes Betemit a decent option at 2B/all infield utility over the next month.
