Looks like the deal for Dye to the Red Sox is getting closer and closer to being done. There is about 1.5 hours left til the deadline and the word is that the White Sox are seriously considering a proposal that includes Dye for Wily Mo Pena and another player. If this actually goes through, will Dye remain an everyday player?
The BoSox have a pretty steady outfield with Manny Ramirez, CoCo Crisp and JD Drew. Drew has been struggling, so do you think they would platoon him with Dye? Also, with Big Papi's knee injury, would Dye be a possible platoon options as a DH?
I REEEEEALLY dont want Dye to become a platoon guy. He was just starting to turn it up post all-star break. Any thoughts from the Red Sox Nation, or just from baseball fans in general?
