Sounds like the everpopular stained oblique and a DL stint for Beltran. Hopefully, a little rest will help him find his game.

Jul 30 Updating an ongoing story, Michael Morrissey, of the New York Post, reports New York Mets OF Carlos Beltran (oblique) is expected to end up on the disabled list after an MRI Sunday, July 29, revealed a strained left oblique. One reason for putting him on the DL would be to give the team another player off the bench. On Saturday, July 28, the team ran out of players and was forced to use SP Tom Glavine as a pinch-hitter. If he is not able to return by Tuesday, July 31, the team will likely place him on the disabled list.
