Well congrats, Sox fans. I think this one goes down as a win for you. As a Strangers fan, I hope Kason can pitch in Arlington. :-{

Could this be the Sox best bullpen ever? Okajima, Delcarmen, Timlin, Gagne,Papelbon..Paps/Gagne co-closer? They will shut it down!!!!

This is madness.

Really exciting to live in Boston right now. If we dont win one of the championships I'll be surprised. I like the Sox's chances the most.

Ray Allen as well. And that's just through trades. Go into FA signings and you have Dice-K and Adalius Thomas too.

Doesnt seem like Francona overrates them. He keeps trotting Javier Lopez out there.

True Sox fan....always pessimistic ;-D

Its a pretty good possibility. Better chance than basically every other city.

DA BULLS (next step is looming)...

With no low post presence they have no chance to be any better then they were this past year. Plus East is getting better.
Eddy Curry trade was the worst trade they ever did. If they still had him they would be winning NBA champs galor.

Sorry this is the baseball cafe but it had to said.

I hate the Yankees, but if I have the opportunity to get Jeter, A-Rod or Mo, I'm taking them. I just want to win, doesnt matter who I win with. With that said, when the two teams meet, I'm not rooting my players on (except if it is a blowout)

Only Yankee fans can call him Mo. ;-7 :-D

The Reds got Cantu, though.

ScrappyDoo wrote:They say pitching wins championships.

Beckett, Dice-K, Schilling, Wakefield, Lester

Okajima, Gagne, Papelbon

That is pretty intimidating.

All the Sox have to do is take a lead to the 7th. After that its lights out.

Boston has a good chance at pulling off a triple championship, (unlikely but possible)

Has a city ever won 3 of the 4 major championships in a calender year. Even though hockey is barely a sport nowadays.

Easy to say since the Bruins suck. I also question how you can even begin to think that the Celtics are contenders. Sure, they leapfrogged a bunch of teams today and can be solid in a weak Eastern Conference but what exactly has Garnett won in his career to justify that statement?? Has he even won a playoff series??

Look at Garnett's teammates. Anyhow, there is already a thread on Garnett at the basketball cafe and in the baseball's General talk.

I was hoping to get Gagne and Dye but just Gagne will do.
