I'm okay with this deal considering there was no way the Reds were going to retain the pending-FA Lohse (Boras client). Interesting that Lohse has 12 quality starts this tear mixed in with some awful ones.

Good riddance Kyle. One of the most fickle, panzy pitchers I've ever seen.
That being said I think this works out well for Philly, as he's a substantial upgrade at the backend of their rotation for the stretch run. I think he's a got a few gems (with a a couple of disasters inbetween) left in him this year.
Maloney's probably garbage, but ya never know.
Prediction: Lohse is a set-up man for one of the New York, California teams next year and winds up getting 5-10 saves.
