I love the suggestion, "throw an inning before the game." As my name suggests, not only do I suffer in fantasy, but I ultimately break something in the first inning whenever Bondo pitches. The truth is, though, there's nothing he or the Tigers can do about it except keep on pitching and hope it straightens out. Maybe if he smiled once in a while he'd have better 1st inning success.
BTW, Yahoo had his stats wrong ... he DID give up 6 ER, but he "only" gave up 10 hits and 3 Walks. Still crappy, but not as doubly-crappy as Yahoo had it.

It's just two really bad games, don't overreact.
I was overjoyed today when Bondy made it through the first inning allowing only 1 ER. Then he puts up zeros in the 3rd... 4th... 5th... and I'm thinking 'sweet, the dude has turned it around'. Then...
6 IP, 20 hits, 7 ER, 6 BB
Good Lord.
It's just three REALLY bad games... I don't think any action would qualify as overacting at this point.
check his splits before - after the all-star break in 2005 and 2006. He is pretty much doin the same again. But do not overreact

He's been a mediocre pitcher, at best, since the beginning of June. There are dozens of pitchers who have outperformed him -- and probably many of them are waiver or free agents.
June: 4.99 ERA / 1.34 WHIP July: 5.31 ERA / 1.38 WHIP Aug: Even worse than previous two months, especially after today.
The trend is disturbing. I wouldn't endure ERA's over 5.00 or WHIPs over 1.30 for any length of time like 2+ months, but I don't own the bum.
he's gotten rocked every game since they changed his pregame routine to try and get the 1st inning jitters out of him. they need to leave it alone or give him some time to rest on the DL.
I dropped his ass picked up Hunter Pence, put him on my DL and then picked up Frank Thomas...i'm in 1st place in my 10 team yahoo roto league by 30 pts so i'm taking a chance on Pence to pick up where he left off when he's activated.
