no. Maybe a Sept callup, but not many ABs. i doubt even that

why? He just got brought up to Durham, he cant get regular plying time in the bigs during September, why call him up and start his clock?

i know there are other factors involved (such as moving iwamura to 2b midseason), but personally i think if the drays are planning on installing him as their opening day 3b 2008, then he should be brought up in sept. the big league experience/abs will get him ready for april, so that he acclimates better than alex gordon did. however, if the drays are thinking mid-late 2008 as his timetable then he should absolutely remain off the 40man as long as possible and finish out the year in durham.

What does everyone see the TB infield looking like in 2008?
Longoria at 3B?
Upton at 2B or in CF?
Iwamura as a starter or a reserve?

I see Harris and Zobrist as stop gaps until Brignac is ready to be the starting in SS in 2009 or 10

They won't move Aki b/c of how well he plays defense, although he could make the transition better than Evan can
