Reports of Jorge Cantu being traded to the Reds. Not disclosed what would be going the other way

cantu is hardly garbage.

he's certainly not a good 2nd baseman,
but his bat is fine.

i don't understand the people who claim cantu was a fluke,
he had consistently hit and hit for a fair amount of power.

sure, he needs to work on his patience but he should be on a major league team,
we just don't have room or time for him.

i'm glad he's gone,
i hope he does well.
i enjoyed his breakout year very very much.

Depending on who the Reds gave up, I like this deal. He could be a backup for Votto and Encarnacion once they trade Hettaberg and maybe Conine.
