So do you think he is finally coming out of his slump? Or just a lucky day and he will continue to be a dissapointment?
I share your celebration. I have stuck with Swisher during this extended slump which has gone on for over a month. In that period, up until last night, he had 9 R, 1 HR, 6 RBI, so it was a really bad slump. His BA was below 0.170 over that same month. I think he's going to get much better from here on in, simply because he's a very good hitter and very good hitters come out of these troughs eventually. If I recall correctly, Swisher raked in the last couple months in 2006 - no reason he shouldn't do the same this year.
