i dont want to sound crass, but i have no idea who this guy was and why it's getting so much attention...i'm not a huge college BB fan, but was this guy an icon i'm not aware of or just your average coach

it sucks when people die and all, but it seems like this is being made a bigger story than it needs to be

I wasn't trying to make a big deal out of it, if any coach of a major sport in college athletics died I think it would get about the same attention.

Yeah, he's was a coach on a pretty prestigious school with some good basketball history. I don't see how this shouldn't be a fairly big story. I was in shock when I found the news out

If you don't follow college basketball much you probably wouldn't know much about him... But he's had a very successful run at Wake Forest and while they've struggled a bit the past few seasons he just locked up a top notch recruiting class (3rd in the nation I believe) for next year... He's one of the most well-liked coaches in college basketball, but he doesn't get as much publicity as say a Coach K or a Roy Williams.

Very sad to see. Just when he was getting the program back to the top, it's horrible to see this happen to Skip.
