the anouncers said the phills wanted to be cautious especially with oliver perez on the mound. didn't want him to get hit

Not a bad idea. I was a little concerned being that Perez does tend to be all over the place from time to time.

it was more of a lefty lefty matchup than them afraid of him getting hit by a pitch.

im not saying i agree with the call, but ollie is absolutely filthy vs lefties, ask ryan howard....but it paid off because chase was BIG today. im sure it was just an excuse to not rush him back too fast, give him a day off here and there.
