Ryan Raburn who?

So this guy's got 2 homers tonight for the Tigers. He's hitting 8-for-17 in July in limited action. With Thames going to the DL, will this guy see consistent playing time? Anyone know anything about him?

he should see a few games a week while Thames is on the DL...he can play some IF as well (although not very good defensivly which is why he was moved to OF) so could even stick with the team

Ahh, although I'm a Tiger fan, forget about Raburn. If you want a Tiger Star of the Future - Cameron Maybin (Lakeland) is hands-down who you want in your keeper leagues as soon as you can get him.

Maybin, slim to none (another OF for the Tigers), unless it's on the 40-man at the end of the season. I think he is on the 7-day DL with some little problem (nothing serious).

Raburn's been having a pretty damn good year in the minors before his callup:

In Toledo:

.292 AVG, 17 HR, 64 RBI, .394 OBP, .540 SLG, 12 SB, 60 R

Now with his 10-20, 3 HR, 10 RBI's, he's looking like a good option if you're willing to wait him out. I'd say he's worth a roster spot if you have a disposable player. Wait a little while, see if he pans out, and if he kicks ass, anyone who had him now looks like a genius.
