he didn't play yesterday and not in the lineup today...

I was wondering the same thing... found something here regarding Tuesday's game:

SS Troy Tulowitzki was a scratch because of an undisclosed illness. Jamey Carroll started in his place.

I hate these unexpected mid-week illnesses...They are very frustrating to deal with.

Tulowitzki was replaced in the starting lineup by Jamey Carroll for the second straight day. He should be ready to go for Thurdsay's series opener against the Dodgers at Coors Field.
