Best 2B of his generation. He'd get my vote for sure.

I think he is a HOFer....not a first ballot guy but a HOFer.

Avg.
Joe Morgan .271
Roberto Alomar .300

OBP
Joe Morgan .392
Roberto Alomar .371

SLG
Joe Morgan .427
Roberto Alomar .443

OPS
Joe Morgan .819
Roberto Alomar .814

Runs
Joe Morgan 1659 (22 yrs played)
Roberto Alomar 1508 (17 yrs played)

2B
Joe Morgan 449
Roberto Alomar 504

Alomar isn't Morgan by any means but I was just showing comparisons..... Alomar was a phenominal defensive player as well. I'd vote him in. Not to mention Alomar was top 6 in MVP voting 5 times.

Glove alone gets him in.
If it's obvious it's probably true.

The HOF debate is so hard because he was the best 2B of the 90's by all means. I think he has to be in even though he doesnt have wow factor

if he gets in, do youthink they will put in Biggio and possibly Jeff Kent also. it would be hard to put in 3 2B from the same time period

I think Alomar's in, althoguh I'm not sure he's the best 2B of his time. I'd take him over Kent, because of the glove(Alomar's 474 SB cancel out Kent's advantage in slugging).. This is why I don't think Biggio deserves to get in (even though he will). He's definitely behind Kent and Alomar. I think he's closer to the good players (like Durham, Knoblauch, and Vidro) than he is to Alomar or Kent...

Alomar
Kent

Biggio

Durham
Knoblauch
Vidro

I would hope that Alomar gains HOF status. The 12 All Star selections and 10 Gold Glove's don't lie.

Biggio's not a great player, just a good player for a long time.
