Alot of moves made...Any more suggestions?*WHIR*

Postby jkeyb » Wed Jul 25, 2007 9:10 am

Yahoo Roto 14 team league non-keeper...sitting at 10-11th until recently made a few moves and now on the rise...currently 6th on 115.5 points...specifically my points for each stat are (out of 14 points):

Hitting:
R(13), HR(13), RBI(14), SB(10), AVG(5), OBP(7), SLG(9)
Pitching:
W(10), SV(8), K(7), HLD(6.5), ERA(1), WHIP(4), K/BB(8)

as you can see im struggling in some hard to make up stats (AVG, ERA, WHIP) but hopefully a few of my recent moves has slowed these problems....

My roster is:
C- J Posada
CI- Gary Sheffield, P Konerko, J Lugo
MI- J Peralta, J Rollins
OF- A Soriano, B Abreu, J Dye, H Matsui
Util- F Thomas

SP- T Lilly, CC Sabathia, D Haren
RP- C Ray, J Accardo
P- R Betancourt, H Bell, Joakim Soria
BN- G Meche (this changes depending on whos due to start)
DL- Josh Johnson

I think impretty happy with my roster atm but would rather probably one less reliever but i have just picked up soria with prospect of ray goign onto the DL...The only other position im not so happy about is F Thomas as my Util but he has only been there about a week now...Any suggestion greatly appreciated and would be more then happy to help in return :)

THanks Heaps :)

It's a little unclear to me how many of your hitters are benched.

In roto, I don't like carrying more than one extra hitter. Deal with hitter injuries when the happen, but you're better off with more pitching options.

I would see if you could get some trade value for the extra guys, maybe pull a nice two-for-one, and use some roster slots on some good middle relievers to help your ratios.

Sorry bout the clarity but all my players apart from the spare SP I rotate, are active...our league seperates players into position categories with 3 CI, 2 MI, etc,....being a 14 team league there isnt much at all on the wire thats the problem with this league...i just dropped casey kotchman but i dont think he will be turning around to the numbers he was posting before he got hit in the head...what u think?

Yeah, you know - Loney is a good pickup. Feel free to rotate his hot bat in there for someone like the Big hurt or Lugo. Everything else seems solid for your team but you might want to get a hot MI to replace peralta for now. Jhonny P is hitting .289 this second half, but has no homers or RBIs. Thanks for your help!
