Chris Young (San Diego) leaves hurt

Postby davidmarver » Tue Jul 24, 2007 9:49 pm

Precautionary apparently. He threw two pitches after Bud Black came out before the start of the third. I'll let you know what it is when they let us know.

I kept refreshing ESPN gamecenter because I thought there was a glitch with Youngs' picture. Damnit. Hopefully it's not serious.

Left oblique strain, according to the San Diego announcers. They say he should be able to go five days from now and that this was strictly precautionary.

Who's next, Ryan Braun? Pence & Sheets are already out now for a long time for me. Who knows how this Young injury will turn out.

Oblique strains and pulls are super bad. They can sideline guys for months; if he had to be pulled that early, I doubt he makes his next start, but I'm no doctor.

When Pence was injured, he was supposed to be day-to-day, so I'd wait for the news on this as it comes out the next couple of days...
