How ridiculous is this?

I just signed up on the cafe after reading posts for a while. I'll try to reply to posts from here on. Anyways, a guy in our league, I'll refer to him as Player X, keeps making crazy trades. The worst part is that only a few in our league protested. Here's the settings:

I could post player X's roster to show what he has/had or needs/needed, but I don't think you guys will need it to reply. Here are his trades with the date of the trade. Try to keep in mind what was going on at the time of the trade (Teixera's slump):

5/1 Player X trades Mark Teixera for Barry Zito straight up
6/28 Player X trades A-Rod, Tulowitzki, and Cust for
Teixera, Hawpe, Dontrelle Willis (cut), and AJ Burnett (DL)

Yesterday, he cut Zito. One more thing, as you might be able to tell, these two trades were to the same guy, our commissioner. Am I overacting to these, or are they not that bad? We're starting a keeper next year, and I don't want to be involved with an owner like this guy. If I get a lot of posts, I'm going to direct the whole league to this cafe, maybe even get a few more readers. Thanks.

Don't blame you for not wanting to be in a league, much less a keeper league with a guys like that (your player x and the commish). I'd finish the year out and then post on the cafe forums in the [url=Classifieds]viewforum.php?f=12[/url] and look for a better keeper league. My league might have an opening but it will have to wait until the offseason before we find out.

Yeah - these situations are tough. In two of my leagues, we had guys who dropped or sold VERY low on Teixeira back in early May, so yours is not an isolated incedent with him trading Tex for Zito (blech). But it was also very controversial in both leagues. Anyways, I guess I can barely swallow that trade as being not-vetoable (at the time).

As for the other trade, I actually don't think it was that bad depending on when... though on 6/28 it was a bad deal as Teixeira was on the DL. At a different time, with Teixeira healthy, Hawpe going as well as he is now, etc. its not bad.

The key problem here is that the guy traded BACK for Teixeira at a time when his value was even lower than when he traded him away. There's the bogus part of the deal.
