Well he's a kid with good stuff, so these things happens. Giving up a HR to John Maine doesn't look good at all, but I would stick with him for the rest of the season.

I agree with the good stuff definitely but he just isn't worth holding onto if he's going to be as downhill as he has been. Someone in the same situation would be someone like Joe Blanton, i mean Snell and Blanton have been performing poorly for the past month at least. Is there anything really optimistic enough to hold onto him for?

Especially when you have pitchers on the rise right now like Adam Wainwright, Dave Bush, and Chuck James that you could probably pick up in most leagues.

Roberto Clemente wrote:With that being said...Snell could easily turn out to be a stud the rest of the way. I could easily see myself picking him up later. I say this because his K/Walk ratio is good and is Era and Whip are still good. Those 3 stats are a telling sign of a good pitcher.

His ERA is 6.00 over the last month (30 IP) and his WHIP is 1.37. His first 100 or so IP are masking this, for sure.

I've benched him the last 2 starts, and will probably continue to do so until figures things out again.

I traded him last week concerned that his frame just wouldn't be able to hold out long term (contract league). Now I'm thinking his problems are more in his head as evidenced by his blowups in the media.

Either way, I'm hoping that he makes me look good for moving him. After all, he does have the raw ability to make me regret moving him.
