Has anyone heard about his arm and how rehab is going?

You must be new to fantasy baseball. There are these things called Keeper Leagues and Dynasty Leagues, and in these leagues IT DOES MATTER. Your presence in this thread however, does not.

The last thing I heard was from back in January, when they said he'd definatley be out this year, but should be good for next year.

Since his surgery a few months back, little has been said about Liriano’s status. So, I asked Terry for an update. “Liriano has begun rehab, but most of his activities right now are range of motion things,” said Ryan. “He feels good and is optimistic, but one thing for sure, Joe, he’ll be out the entire year.” That pretty much is what we all expected, but it does put to rest any idea that Liriano could return early and pitch in relief during a playoff push.

I appreciate the info. I do have him in a keeper league, and it is possible that I might hold onto him for next season. I have other players a la Ben Sheets who I could stash in his DL spot, so i was just trying to see if there were any updates.

Thanks for the Update, I too was wondering cause I got him in two Auction Keeper Leagues. Obviously he is a keeper, NO BRAINER.

AL ONLY LEAGUE:
SP-Liraino @$9

MIXED LEAGUE:
SP-Liriano @$6

Good Value?

The timing was actually quite good from a season to season POV. Liriano has all the way to April 2008 to get healthy and should be able to start the 2008 season, given that there are no setbacks. Most definitely keep him if you have him.

I stole him in the 19th round this year, so I would be able to keep him at that spot. That's why I've kept him stashed on the dl all year. Hopefully all signs point to go next season.

Just remember that it is no guarentee that he is as good anymore as he was last season. For two main reasons:

1. He obviously had a major injury
2. They have completly changed his delivery in order to save his arm, his delivery was deceiving and helped give him an edge. He probably will still be above average, but I am not too sure about dominant.
