There just might be something to this Reyes deal, as the Mariner is normally a very good read and pretty straight forward.

I would be stoked for this deal.

my question is next year since we traded away ty, do we switch Aki to 2nd and let evan play 3rd or how is it going to work when evan is ready and we need Aki's glove in the field?

My personal opinion is that since Evan's bat is so huge, we keep him at 3rd just to keep him from having to worry about a position change. We slide Aki to 2nd and let him control things there. I think the Upton experiment at 2nd is pretty much over with and it is a shame as he could really be great there, but if the outfield takes his worries away then his bat is definitely worth the CF spot. We will then have to make a decision at the SS position as Brignac will not be ready til late 08 or spring 09. I think Zobrist and Harris should be able to cover the SS position and backup at 2nd when needed.



Now back to reality, I think DRO will move Longoria to 2nd since Aki has proved to be so proficient with the glove.

Will be interesting to see where he plays in Durham. They have Guzman at 3rd, and Johnson at 2B, do they start the transition in Durham?

because guzman is a pawn compared to longoria.
maybe the can bounce guzman around, he has done it before.
