You have to trade Reyes. He is as valuable right now as he ever will be. Get something good for him now and let him go to a team in a pennant chase. I don't think he will be worth his price next year, so lets move him along. He has been very good for us in 4 months, but it is time to let him go. Heck maybe Arizona wants to trade a good young bat for some pen help with RJ out.

We own his rights for next year so I think unless you get true value you keep him to setup for next year and trade him mid season next year. I think if we trade him a lot of fans will be ticked

The Devil Rays have a 2.85 million option on Reyes for next year. That is not exactly a great deal. His value is much higher right now then it will be this offseason or this time next year because he a great run in April and May that he will never reproduce again. You move him now easily. One of these teams should be willing to give up a decent arm or bat for some bullpen help.

you sure its 2.8? I know its 1 mill plus his earned incentives from this year. Did he make 1.8 Mill in incentives this year?

I read that sometime last week. I would love to get Clement to strengthen our catcher position, but I think Seattle would want a bit more even with Johjima blocking the way for Clement to come up. I think our best hope for this trade to happen would be for the Angels to pull off a huge trade and force Seattle's hand in improving their team.
