Eric Karabel just reported on Fantasy 3:50 that Ramirez is day to day. Additionaly, he stated that Freddi Gonzalez said that worst case scenario Hanley would be out until Wed. Sorry no link...hope it is somewhat helpful.

What's your source?

This is exactly right. In today's UTK, Will Carroll said as much. Basically:

1. It's potentially a devastating injury that could take months to fully rehab.

2. Other players who have tried to jump right back in after such an injury have not had such great results (Sexson, Hardy).

3. But, Han-Ram's injury is different than those, and really, all these types of injuries are wildly divergent, and anyway, no one is sure the severity of the separation in this case.

4. That said, it's a good sign that the Marlins are letting him right back in, but until he's played for a while with no effects shown, none of us are out of the woods.

So, it's probably a good idea to add some insurance right now if you can find it, but there is still cause for optimism. In other words, hope for the best, be prepared for the worst, but that's all any of us knows at the moment.

Per the Sun-Sentinal 7/24/07

Shortstop Hanley Ramirez remained in South Florida Sunday for a consultation with team doctor Dan Kanell. Sunday, Ramirez partially dislocated his left shoulder during his first-inning at-bat.

While swinging and missing at a Bronson Arroyo 0-1 pitch, Ramirez's shoulder slipped out and back into the socket. The same thing happened to Ramirez last season at Atlanta. As a result, he missed the better part of five games save for two appearances as a pinch-runner.

Jul 24 Ramirez, who suffered a left shoulder subluxation in his first at-bat Sunday against Cincinnati, wasn't in the Marlins' lineup on Monday and remains day-to-day.

Advice: Ramirez could return to the Marlins' lineup as early as Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.
