Wasn't hit. Dislocated his shoulder, then the pinch-hitter got hit by a pitch

They are saying it's a shoulder subluxation.

A shoulder subluxation or instability involves a temporary, partial dislocation of the shoulder joint. The shoulder is made up of a ball-and-socket joint in which the ball of the upper arm bone is normally held in the socket of the shoulder blade by a group of ligaments that connect to the bones. In a shoulder subluxation, the ball of the upper arm bone slips partially out of the shoulder socket.

According to Rotoworld, he is day to day. Keeping my fingers cross they are right.

I'd be shocked if he didn't go on the DL. He has a history of shoulder problems, so they will either shut him down for two or three weeks to let the shoulder heal as well as possible and then strengthen it or he will have his surgery now and miss the rest of the season (I certainly don't hope so)

I had that twice, both shoulders. First took me 3 weeks to heal but never fully, and the second on the other shoulder took several month to heal!
Lets just hope he'll lose only a month.

is it his throwing shoulder?

No.
I saw it.
Its his left shoulder.
But he wont be able to swing with that, so doesnt matter.
