Corey Patterson

I need more speed in my lineup and am thinking of picking him up for free from my league's Free Agent list. I would have to drop Garrett Atkins or Corey Hart to get him.

In his last 11 games Patterson has stolen 6 bases. He has also raised his Batting Average from .234 to .259 in the last 11 games. My only other options are K.Lofton or R.Willits.

if you really need steals go for it and drop Hart but know that Patterson is a very streaky player.

Honestly, id rather drop Dmitri "flavor of the month" Young for him. He plays in Washington (worst hitters park in the league besides Petco) and he's playing way over his head (just look at his stats the last few years). Atkins and Young will be more consistent for you the rest of the year compared to Young. Just my two cents...

I would ride Dmitri out...I would drop Corey Hart if you need Patterson's steals...

Hart has fallen off lately...he has not really played up to his label of being a great power/speed blend at the top of the Brewers lineup...Hart hasn't stolen a base in 19 games..and his batting average has dropped 30 points in that span...meanwhile, hitting lead-off, he's not getting many RBI oppurtunities...just a 59 RBI pace over his past 19 games as well...he's cooled off dramatically...and all he's really giving owners is some runs and an occasional solo-home run...
