Pelfrey...now what?

i 'member some hype. i watched a couple of his starts--he seemed a bit, what--unfocused? i think that's the right word. aside from bad control (which i thought previously would be the least of his issues), he was making a lot of mistakes.

anyway, the mets did the right thing, presumably, in sending him down. what's he doing now? any word from mets fans?

The Mets have a doubleheader against the Nats on Saturday and Pelfrey is supposed to start one of those games.

His last start in Triple A on July 17:

I'm getting very disappointed with Pelfrey. I have him as a minor leaguer on my fantasy team and has shown no sign of breaking out of a really bad slump. None of his numbers across the board have even come close to average. 0.956 K/BB ratio (horrific), 1.69 WHIP (unspeakable), and a 6.12 ERA ( ). This is the Mets ace of the future we are talking about, not some nobody with no stuff to show for anything. He'd better wake up and face reality.
