Why did Norton pinch hit for Crawford in the 5th inning? I hope it was the flu. I really need his SB's !!! He has been on a tear lately.

He stepped on the side of the bag when he legged out a single in his last at bat. He was limping afterwards.

If he goes on the DL I'm screwed. I'm 7th in SB's in our 10 team league right now,and only 12 SB's away from the 1st place guy in our points league.Thank God I picked up Patterson 2 weeks ago from the waiver wire.

YES showed a replay of Crawford stepping on the bag when Norton pinch hit him, but they haven't mentioned it since.
To me, it didn't look too bad. He stayed in the game for another 2 innings. IMO, I doubt he plays tonight but I wouldn't be shocked if he is the DH tomorrow.

Got this from Sporting News:
Crawford left Saturday's day game in the fifth inning with a sprained left ankle. He apparently injured himself running the bases two innings earlier. Greg Norton replaced him in the lineup. Crawford will have X-rays taken on the ankle.
