Saito having problems..DL bound?

Jul 25 Ken Gurnick, of Dodgers.MLB.com, reports Los Angeles Dodgers CL Takashi Saito (shoulder) threw catch on flat ground Tuesday, July 24, with no pain in his shoulder blade. Saito said he will try to throw off a mound Wednesday, July 25, and believes he will be able to return to action very soon.

Saito threw about 40 pitches from reports and everything went well...
nice to see that he avoided the DL...

Takashi Saito threw off the mound on Wednesday with no irritation to his shoulder blade, and manager Grady Little said he was very optimistic his closer would be available for Thursday night's opener against the Rockies in Denver.

however Saito was a little less optimistic than Grady but Saito's return should be sooner rather than later...

"I have to be sure the aftereffects of the injection will be gone," Saito said. "I have to see how my body reacts. Mainly, I want to get my feet wet and get the feel of the mound again."
