I know he is on the DL at the moment, but I was wondering what you guys think about him in general and his possible performance when he returns given his injury. Will he play full time when he comes back? ...and was he starting on the regular or platooning before he went down? ...Any info or insight you have on him would be great.

hard to say how the injury will affect his production, but i think there is a good chance he will be in a semi-platoon. they have to find at-bats for both Freel and Encarnacion, also Hopper, so Hamilton could sit versus some lefties.

Reds OF Josh Hamilton (sprained right wrist) will be examined in one week by hand specialist Dr. Andrew Markiewitz, the team said Saturday.

FANTASY ANALYSIS
This is Hamilton's second stint on the DL this season. It comes at a bad time as he was just again heating up at the plate after coming off the DL in June. When healthy, Hamilton is a viable mixed league Fantasy option. Keep him reserved through Fantasy Week 17 (July 23-29).
