anyone in the seattle area know when they plan on calling him up. i know theres a "if it aint broke dont fix it" attitude goin on, but this kid looks to be a real player. whats the word?

Jul 20 Jones is still feasting on Triple-A pitching -- and the Mariners still have needs -- but there is no word on when a call-up might happen.

Recommendation: In eight games since the Triple-A All-Star Game, Jones is hitting .342 (12-of-35) with two homers, a triple, two doubles and seven RBI. Definitely keep Jones on the radar, but patience is required.

He's a wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, duh. I'm guessing he means Jacque Jones.

As for Adam Jones... with the trade deadline coming up I'd keep a very close eye on Seattle's deals. If they trade an OF, specifically Raul Ibanez, I would jump on Jones ASAP. Around the time the talks of trading Ibanez (RF) started they began to play Jones in RF every few games, perhaps getting him ready for the call up to play RF for the Mariners. Keep a close eye on the situation.
