I think Hardy is just settling into being the player he was expected to be, and most people saw it coming so I wouldn't say he's a major disappointment or anything. I'd say be grateful he had the hot streak and if you didn't sell high on him you missed your opportunity. I don't think he's un-rosterable or anything but I wouldn't be counting on him as your #1 SS. And he could get another little streak going, you never know.

He's a young guy (25) and his numbers for the year will be fine overall, but he's probably not going to produce like he did in the first half. He'll probably do better in that line-up than he would in other line-ups, but you have to remember how young that line-up is -- Hart (25), Hardy (25), Braun (23), Fielder (23!) -- they are all probably going to struggle at times.

At the ASB, Hardy's owner was trying to sell him hard... I wasn't buying. He should have sold him a month earlier.

I wouldn't fret too much over dropping him. His chances of reprising those early season heroics are pretty slim IMHO.

I don't see this comparison at all! He didn't mash HR's like every other game and just disappear from the face of the earth. Hardy ISN'T a pure HR hitter and I would hope everyone can realize that BASED on his career averages. He was just hot at the start of the year and he probably saw a ton of good pitches to hit batting 2nd in a decent lineup.

I do expect him to come around a bit and I feel he is capable of producing 20-25 Hr a season for much of the remainder of his career. Don't forget he's 6'2 and approaching his 25th birthday. His frame will still fill out a bit as he approaches his prime. Those of you ready to drop him or spit on him have got to practice a little patience. How many players can stay tuned in for an entire season w/o going through a couple of slumps?

I agree with that, too. I don't know how a guy could be a disappointment when not much was expected of him to begin with.

haha what a disaster these rookies are many r very fickle and dont hold up through the stretch of the season to the disappointment of many fantasy owners.......
