I don't think RJ can keep pitching with a herniated disc..his career is almost over

Randy has the better K/BB ratio, nearly 6:1 but he does play on a non-offensive team. Schilling on the other hand plays on the Red Sox, a very offensive team and even if Schilling's ERA stays in the upper 3's to mid 4's for the rest of the season, he can still manage a nice set of wins just because he has so much run support backing him up. so Schilling, definitely.

I have both old guys and I root for Randy more but I'm more optimistic about Schilling's chances for second half success.
