Take Gagne, then your next favourite and an offensive player.

I don't think Gagne will have as powerful a season as he had last year. I'd take Foulke or Rivera over him to the be Stud closer of 2004.

Thanks to everyone for your advice so far. I am really having a tough time here. I think I have changed my mind a hundred times already.

I think I'm leaning towards AROD right now. Although Gagne was out of this world last year, and is certainly the top closer this year, I feel confident that I can still pick up a Wagner, Rivera, Foluke with a later pick (I'm hoping round 3).

In a weekly points league I don't think you can pass up a guy who will automatically put up at least 40 points a week, where as Gagne's numbers will fluctuate more dependent on save opportunities and will. Last year I had Gagne, and he had 60 point weeks and 15 point weeks.
I almost have myself convinced but I would love to hear more from the experts

In a Head to Head league, even with the closer Advantage I would go A-Rod.

I thought I posted on here before, but I guess I didn't. I was supossed to say Gagne before, but after hearing that it is a weekly Head to Head I am changing my vote to A-Rod.
