Any word on how his back is coming along? I wanna know whether i should drop him for a young gun like garza or hughes or if i should hold onto him. Does anyone know if he's thrown a 'pen session yet?

Jul 18 Johnson threw 30 pitches Tuesday in his first bullpen session since being placed on the 15-day DL earlier this month and reported no problems, MLB.com reports.

Recommendation: "Tomorrow will be a key day to see how he feels after obviously taxing himself more in the bullpen rather than just playing catch," Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin said. It's not known when he'll be able to pitch again this year, so expecting a late season surge from him is unrealistic at this point.

i dont know if thats good or bad .. he threw 30 pitches but whats up with dbacks manager comments?

I've always like to watch him pitch. Who the heck knows what's going on...remember he was going to start that week and then all of a sudden, it's back to the DL.

I wanna know how long he's going to be out so I know whether to drop him for Ben Sheets who just recently got dropped in my league.
