I've seen a whole slew of these over time and always wondered...what exactly is everyone congratulating? Not being rude...just don't really understand. Isn't a thank you more in order than a congrats?

That's a good point, 5. I think it's more of a lack of "something good to say." I have trouble writing stuff on the dozens of birthday cards, get-well cards, happy baby cards and whatnot that circulate through my office every year. I wish everyone well, but I just don't always know what to say without sounding really odd. I think "Congrats" in these threads is just something safe to say to convey well-wishes.








And thanks, everyone, for the kind words. As I become more comfortable with baseball in general I'm finding myself spending more and more time over here. You all make this a fun place to hang out, and for that I thank you.
