You're worried about if you can get a good first car for under 20k?!?!?! A large portion of America can't afford a$20,000 dollar car, you can certainly get a good car for under 20K, you don't need to buy something brand new. I have no familiarity with Matrix's, but if you're into that whole import scene kind of car, just search through somewhere like Autotrader and you'll find quite a bit to choose from at your price range.

alright tht came out wrong. Let me put it this way, my dad just said tht we are sharing which im ok with, but since we are sharing i think it is reasonable to want a pretty good car. The matrix cost like 15K i believe which is reasonable for a new car. Im sure it wont be new so i can get a used one for probably a lot cheaper. He wants it to get good mileage which tht does so tht should save some money. Sorry if that came out snobby
