The Score 670 in Chicago is reporting a Jr. and Reitsma for Konerko and Koch trade pending phycials for all.
Anyone here live in Chicago and hear the same thing? A buddy called me about an hour ago with the report.

Griffey wouldn't pass the physical.
not really
But if i were them i wouldnt trade for Griffey, he is no longer a great player, he is always injured anymore

I don't know the validity of it as I know the score regularly reports erroroneous info.
Why not Griffey? Perhaps DH'ing is something he should do until he proves he can stay healthy for half a season.
Reitsma is better than Koch as well.

I doubt that trade would happen....but you never know. I would like to see Griffey stay healthy for one season and see what kind of numbers he could put up in the all american ballpark

If Griffey stays healthy it could be a helluva pickup for the Sox. He turned 34 in November, but with all the missed time while on the DL, he could post half-a-dozen more excellent years. Plus, as someone already mentioned, the DH could extend his career even further.
Shades of Marcus Allen.

I've never had Griffey on a fantasy team but he's always picked in leagues I'm in. There's always that thought on draft day that maybe this is the year Griffey doesn't get hurt and bops 45-50 homers again.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'
