I took this from Rotoworld via the Pirates Message board on ESPN.
Pirates signed outfielder Henry Rodriguez to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
The 36-year-old Rodriguez has had just 28 at-bats in the majors over the last three seasons and was out of baseball in 2003. He's an extreme longshot to make the Pirates as a reserve outfielder.
I remember when this guy used to be a really good hitter. His time has probably passed, though. I would much rather see Jason Bay out in left for the next few years!
