Jul. 13 - 5:43 pm et After entering with with the Astros down 4-0 against the Cubs, Brad Lidge struck out two in a scoreless inning Friday in his return from the disabled list. Because Mark Loretta committed an error, Lidge had to get four outs. Still, he was dominant anyway. Lidge should get the next save chance the Astros generate.
He could put himself into a sell high situation quickly, especially if you think he might get traded by the end of the month.

I don't know, but the rumors are out there that if the Astro's decide to sell Lidge would be number 1 or 2 on the list of players they'd deal. That also seems to be the feeling most of the ESPN experts have.

Nady came in to pinch hit and Brad couldn’t get the slider over for a strike and Nady walked (oh dear) and then Brad threw a 0-2 slider in the dirt to McLouth and for some reason, the ump said it was a HBP, which seemed to surprise Mc Louth. Bases loaded 1 out. But Brad gritted it up, got Kata on 3 beautiful sliders, then got Sanchez on 2 FB then swinging on a slider in the dirt. And THAT was a close call because it bounced and Ausmus had to find the ball and touch home plate before the runner barrelled in. And it was close, too."

The fact that he got out of the jam is probably going to help his confidence more than anything.
Based on that writeup the other thing to note is that even though he loaded the bases they didn't exactly hit him hard. One bloop single and that was it. He also struck out the last 2 batters. So he apparently did a lot better then the box score showed.
