Its clear that Math has always been a key part of baseball. I remember telling my mom I should be allowed to flip baseball cards because look at all of the math on the back of each card that I am learning!
Math in baseball led to sabermetrics to measure how good players are. Indeed, we have one of those serious cat type threads about sabermetric ranking of starting pitchers going on right now in this forum.
But remember the original thesis from the first poster of this thread:

Remember, he is talking about FBC forums, not other fantasy sites. In order to validate his thesis, I propose a sabermetriccafe approach. We can write programs to count all of the posts in all of the forums and look for issues like ratio of smilies to post, number of posts per thread, amount of text per post (since serious posts are longer than others) etc.
This is an important question that must be answered!!
