Welcome RIcky, goodbye Julio.

I like the move by Omar, he was one of Willie's favorites, and hurting the team, so he did what he had to do! ;-D

I agree. I love having Julio in baseball. I just don't love him on the Mets.

Say, Braves fans, don't you guys need a good bat off the bench?

I don't know how Rickey will do as a hitting coach but knowing his style as a player it seems like a perfect match. Sometimes hitting coaches take too much blame but it might be deserved here. The Mets were WAY too aggressive, so much so that I believe it had to be Downs strategy this season.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
