Nomar 4th? Abreu at 14 seems early to me too.

8-o Wow...and I thought they experts. That's one stange draft as far as where players are taken.

Wow.

Mulder didn't go until pick #66
Oswalt at #72
Morris at #82

Smells like collusion to me. They must have all agreed to wait until the later rounds to start taking their pitchers, lol. ;-)

This is one horrible draft. Don't know where to begin, so here's a start

Bad picks
4. ESPN.com (Brandon) Nomar Garciaparra, SS, Boston
9. The Roto Times Manny Ramirez, OF, Boston
14. Fantasy Baseball Weekly TV Bobby Abreu, OF, Philadelphia
22. ESPN.com (Eric) Derek Jeter, SS, N.Y. Yankees
27. ESPN.com (Eric) Ichiro Suzuki, OF, Seattle
29. Fantasy Sports Magazine (Greg) Mike Piazza, C, N.Y. Mets
30. Baseball HQ Mike Lowell, 3B, Florida
47. Rotoworld.com Andruw Jones, OF, Atlanta
54. Baseball HQ Orlando Cabrera, SS, Montreal
57. The Roto Times Kazuo Matsui, SS, N.Y. Mets
59. Fantasy Baseball Weekly TV Troy Glaus, 3B, Anaheim
60. FantasyGuru.com Carl Crawford, OF, Tampa Bay
73. SportsLine.com (Tristan) Rocco Baldelli, OF, Tampa Bay

Prior should be top 6- Not 11

When you tell people that you're first two picks were Nomar and Preston Wilson, its supposed to be followed by "I picked 10th or 11th," not 4th.

Man, you guys are rough. It wasn't that bad of a draft. There were some stinkers, but all in all it looks pretty normal.

Is the Abreu pick really that bad? He's a true 5 category player in what's supposedly to be a great park for left-handed hitters.

As far as the pitchers lasting, that's not a surprise at all to me.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.

I would take Abreu top 20 if I thought I was in a draft that people knew what they were doing, but apparently the consensus is that he isnt a top pick....so, he may get pushed by me....got to take chances once in a while. I have Abreu as my #15 player and feel pretty good about my chances of getting him in the 3rd and maybe even the 4th. Last year I had Beltran as my #12 overall and got him in the 3rd in two of my three money leagues. Anyone want to guess the results, hehe ;-D . So, orchids to anyone who realizes Abreu is a top 20 player and onions to those that still don`t get it. Here is hoping some of you are in my league.
