"In 2002, Barry Bonds' midseason shift to the cleanup spot triggered the Giants' World Series run, but now Manager Felipe Alou has other ideas.
On Thursday, two weeks before pitchers and catchers report to spring training, Alou said his tentative lineup calls for Bonds to return to No. 3 in the batting order, flanked by J.T. Snow or A.J. Pierzynski at No. 2 and Edgardo Alfonzo at No. 4."
I don't think Snow willl cut it in the #2 hole. With AJ ahead of Bonds, expect him to see more fastballs -- thus more hits. He'll also see a large number of runs hitting ahead of Bonds. Get used to seeing him on second and Bonds at first.

Thats good news. I need a catcher and he's still available. Is 12th round in a 16 team keeper too early?

And bump down Bonds. To paraphrase Bill Walton, J.T. Snow may be the worst clean-up hitter in the history of the National Leauge--I don't know why you wouldn't walk Bonds every time.

i don't think round 12 would be too early depending on who is left, though i hope to grab him in round 14-15

i don't think so. I think that's a pretty good bargain.

So if Craig Wilson and AJ are available in your draft, which one would you take?

Well I'd probably take A.J, but that is based on how my team is set up.

I'd take AJ. But if you have other holes to fill Wilson is a solid late pickup.
