Anyone who has never seen his ESPY speech from 1993 should do so. ESPN Radio had their Jimmy V Foundation auction today that I listened to on my lunch break and I thought I should post this video. It's probably the most touching speech I've ever heard as someone that lost their father to cancer 5 years ago when I was 16.

I watch this thing every year during his preseason tournament and end up balling. I'm a big girl.

But yeah, it's a great speech.

Some speaker who came to our school last year talked about this speech and how much we can learn from it. Unfortunately not many people knew who "Jimmy V" was...everyone should watch this at least once.

One of the best speeches I have ever heard. The guy is an inspiration to everyone.

I loved the response he had when the light started flashing, indicating that he should rap up the speech.

It was absolutely a great speech. I still remember thinking what the heck is Valvano doing during the 83 Championship game with his fouling at the end of the game, but boy did it ever work out for him.

Thought I would give this a bump, just saw the speech again in between games in the Jimmy V Classic. I strongly urge you to watch the speech if you've somehow never seen it.

Its one of the most moving speeches I have ever seen.
Every year his tourney is on, I see it, I cry, I donate.
The reason I like his foundation is 100 percent to cancer research.
