Not in a good way...
StlToday.com wrote:A minivan literally flew into a farmhouse today, injuring a 37-year-old St. Peters man.
Still, the unidentified man suffered only suffered minor injuries after he lost control of his late-model Honda Odessy minivan. Deputies with the St. Charles County Sheriff's Department say the van was northbound on Salt River Road about 6 a.m. when the driver apparently lost control.
The van then:
-- Traveled off the right side of the road.
-- Ran through an open field.
-- Struck an old fruit cellar that was nearly 6 feet tall and acted as a ramp.
-- Arced about 30 feet through the air.
-- Struck the second story of the two-story, wood-framed, farm-style home.
-- Bounced off the home and landed on the ground next to the south side of the home.
The driver was taken to an area hospital. The homeowner was in the house at the time but was uninjured.
Damage to the home was described as heavy.
Deputies suspect that excessive speed played a big part.
You don't say?
