Is he one of the top minor pitcher prospects? What are the chances he is up at the beginning of 2008? Other then Bucholz who is better or should be up at the beginning of next year?

It's generally thought that Bucholz is clearly the best SP prospect in baseball w/ kershaw second...but it's not close. I'd say Kershaw would be LUCKY to get a cup o coffee in late 2008...09 seems more the possibility.

Kershaw is only 19 so it will be '09 before he sees significant time I would imagine. He does have a huge upside since he is so young, left handed and has very good stuff. Mid 90's fastball with a above avg curve. Needs to work on his control and his secondary stuff a little more but like I said he is a baby and has plenty of time to improve!
Bucholz is silly good! Great fastball/curve/change! The established change is what sets him apart from most other prospects!
i just like to add, that i saw clayton pitch last week, his team was in town. and let me tell you, i was impressed. he is by far the best pitcher i have seen throw this year in A ball. i know he has good numbers and indicators, but i just want to add that he looks good in person too.
