lol As an Oaklan fan I'm going into AA for messing that one up . Thanks dude.
"Son we would like to keep you around here but were trying to win a pennant this year."
thanks for the advice ramble, that seems to make the most sense to me. in the league i'll be in, i dont see renteria going until the 4th round, maybe 5th.
I kno no one will agree with me, but Tejada was 10X better then Nomar in the 2nd half last season and while Nomar always has a better AVG, Miggy's power is above Nomar.
Nomar should be taken over Tejada. Nomar will put up big big numbers in that lineup again, if he can stay healthy like last year. I would also put Tejada and Rentaria on about the same level. I like old Edgar with Pujols and Rolen backing him again
bsblallstr wrote:i think that he could have more RBI's cause tejada could erupt for 40 HR's, and an avg. well above .300 now that he doesnt have to play with 80 yards of foul ground everywhere and has shorter fences
I like Tejada better than Nomar, but Camden Yards is not a good hitting park. It does boost homers, so Tejada should increase his homers, but on almost every other offensive stat Camden Yards is as bad as Oakland. So, don't expect any boost in average (or OBP or SLG, if your league uses those).

If you think that either Tejada or Renteria would be available to you in the 3rd, let someone else grab Nomar in the 2nd and use that pick to get the best available player. Then grab either Renteria or Tejada ( ) in the 3rd round.

Sage advice, Ramble.
Good call. Then you can grab Kent or B. Boone with that second round pick.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Took the words right out of my mouth. I think Nomar will perhaps put up better numbers this year, but Tejada's the better value in terms of what he costs you in either auction $ or draft pick.
Tejada.. sum1 already stated my reasons, shorter fences, and better ppl ahead of him and has some good protection behind him in Javy or Raffy or Gibbons, whoever hits cleanup. Matos will hit over .300 this year IMO, but he will bat at the bottom of the order. Mora is supposed to lead-off with hairston in the 2-hole.
