Were your spidey senses tingling?
BACK BACK BACK BACK - Oh crap I'm brainwashed now.
everyone from his era are already gone. he was only doing one show a week. he doesnt fit into the young hip sportscastor that espn shoots for. all we need next is stuart scott to leave, and id be happier.

Wait...Stuart Scott isn't hip? Since when?
Yeah, give ol' lazy eye a break. He's still straight gangsta, homey. Booya!
It would be nice if ESPN let sports do the talking instead of annoying personalities a al Stuart Scott. I think Berman and Dicky V. should have retired about 10 years ago when they stopped evolving as professionals.

This is just me completely surmissing about things; by no means is this meant to suggest that he is, in fact, going to the Baseball Channel (or whatever it's going to be called).
However, I fail to see why this would be a huge career mistake. The NFL Network did just this with Rich Eisen from ESPN, when they launched a few years ago, so why wouldn't MLB also want to hire a very recognizable and well-respected sportscaster like Patrick? Seems like they would be likely to pay him whatever he wants and I'm guessing he'd have some control over programming. This is supposed to be the largest-scale launch of a cable channel in the history of television, so it makes sense that they'd want to make a splash with the hiring of such a big name in the industry.......
